Feng Shui: This is the ancient Chinese art of arranging objects, furniture and decor in a fluidly moving way. This method is used in creating a positive energy space of yin and yang with the flow of chi. In doing so, it is believed that the rest of your life will follow in harmony as your home living environment is.
Let's start with materials. They say that metal objects will interrupt the frequency of positive energy, so try to refrain from having any metal objects in your room. Wood is a much more natural element and gives a better vibe to your living environment; it also gives you more choices of color and allows for variety in the different types of wood you can choose.
When choosing colors, it is best to keep them consistent throughout your room. This will give your room that flowing look and feel. If you use a colorful duvet (comforter) with a pattern, you can break it up by folding the top back for that solid color or folding the flat sheet over. Using those same colors in your curtains or shades will help with the color consistency.
A Feng Shui bedroom can only be completed with a chair or other seating arrangement near your closet or to the side of your bed. Use the same wood type as you used for your bed, dresser, nightstands and hope chest and the same colors in the drapes, throw rug, lamp shades, duvet, and other fabrics throughout your room.
